I’m fascinated by evolution of places and buildings, witnessing how original features seamlessly adapt and integrate as their uses change. The Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba stands out as one of the most striking examples. With each step, I marveled at the fusion of Islamic and Christian motifs, transforming the structure into a powerful symbol of human resilience. Tracing the centuries-old walls, I couldn’t help but reflect on the profound respect and connection that generations past had shown towards this sacred space. It served as a poignant reminder that, despite our diverse perspectives and beliefs, a shared reverence for beauty and history unites us all.
Created with a combination of brushwork, application with a palette knife, and acrylic paint pens, this original artwork has been finished with a satin varnish for protection. The painting comes ready-to-hang with painted canvas edges and picture wire installed. The piece is titled, signed and dated on the back.
