When I was living as a management consultant in London, I would go on frequent walks to find a sense of calm and serenity. One of my favourites was along the River Thames, in the mornings and evenings alike. This piece is a nod to those times from my past, where I could enjoy the views and the sound of my feet against the pavement.
As you look at this painting, I hope you find moments of serenity as I combine the natural – in yellow roses reminiscent of my family home – with the urban – views across Westminster Bridge to the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben in the heart of London.
Created with a combination of brushwork, and applying paints with palette knife and paint pen, this original artwork has been finished with a satin varnish for protection. Gallery wrapped canvas (1.5 inch thickness) comes installed with D-rings and picture wire, ready-to-hang. Piece is titled, signed and dated on the back.
