Spring Over the Thames

Size: 14 x 11 inches

Strolling along the South Bank as the sun comes up. The city is still quiet with only early risers to be seen. I can hear my own thoughts. I look across the river as the first rays of sun hit the water and my gaze settles on the steadfast icons of the city in this spring morning light. Strong. Constant. Commanding

I drew inspiration from my life in London and all the walks where I gaze across the river to see the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben.

Created with a combination of brushwork and applying paints with palette knife, this original artwork has been finished with a satin varnish for protection.
